About Us

Layali the Collection was founded by two Muslim women, Lina and Laila, with the intention of creating pieces that reflect the elegance of modesty. Layali for us is a way to reveal that modesty can be fashionable and an outlet of self expression while remaining true to its values in our tradition.

Our purpose is reflected through our design process, where every piece is designed in house and produced through a close and personal creative process. Made for Muslim women for Muslim women and all women who embrace the elegance of modesty. 

From design to production, our process is entirely women-led. Every collection is crafted in small batches alongside a skilled woman tailor from rural Vietnam, where our founders’ roots are tied. Each garment woven supports her passions and livelihood, making our process entirely ethically sourced and high quality, where care is given to high quality fabrics and intricate stitching. 

Beyond clothing, Layali was built with a greater purpose in mind. A portion of our proceeds supports humanitarian and Muslim-led relief efforts, including aid for Palestine and Sudan. We hope to use our platform in ways that strengthen and give back to the Ummah.

Above all, we hope our pieces serve as a reflection of the beauty of modesty, while remembering that the best clothing is the adornment of righteousness.

يَـٰبَنِىٓ ءَادَمَ قَدْ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْكُمْ لِبَاسًۭا يُوَٰرِى سَوْءَٰتِكُمْ وَرِيشًۭا ۖ وَلِبَاسُ ٱلتَّقْوَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌۭ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ مِنْ ءَايَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَذَّكَّرُونَ

“O children of Adam, We have bestowed upon you clothing to conceal your private parts and as adornment. But the clothing of righteousness — that is best. This is one of Allah’s bounties, so perhaps you will be mindful.
